Unpaid Carers & Family Members
My aim is to help people who are living with physical disabilities and chronic conditions to achieve their full potential as they age, whatever their level of physical disability. My focus will be to help people reduce the effects of ageing, partly through careful planning of their future needs.
I offer a one-to-one service, helping clients plan for their future needs, such as equipment, which services they may require and how to access them. This service will comprise a free 15 minute consultation which can take place over the phone or by email. A small charge will be made for work which results from the consultation, for example producing a personal action plan. After an agreed time period, for example 1 month, a second free consultation can take place in order to discuss progress.
If you wish to use this service please click on the link below and complete the short 1-1 Questionnaire:
In parallel, I can support unpaid carers who may be feeling the effects of ageing themselves, and may not be able to assist their disabled partner/relative as they once did.
Healthcare Professionals
If you work as a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, nurse or medical practitioner, I can advise you about the health and social impact of ageing with a disability and long-term condition.
If you work as a Care Agency Manager, or you are a Personal Assistant / carer working for a care agency, or are a Case Manager, I can advise you about the health and social impact of ageing with a disability or long-term condition.
I can also help PAs / carers to recognise the effects of ageing on their clients.
